Nothing really new, except for the level of money being stolen during a serious lull in the economy in the pretext of war funding. Its not like everyone doesn’t know members of the government steal taxpayer monies to enrich themselves.

It seems the Iraqi government does not wish to allow foreign forces to rule their land and airspace. Something about sovereignty, silly Iraqis. The US, of course wishes to be allowed to detain and arrest Iraqis while not being subject to any Iraqi laws themselves. And then there’s those mercs, pardon, contractors. Not done yet, the article mentions Iraqi monies plus oil revenues being, er, watched over by the IMF and Fed Reserve. Um, yeah.
