Chile, Brasil, Pakistan, S Korea, Burkina Faso, Japan, Bahrain, Gabon,
Ghana, and Zambia.
The Human Rights Council takes the place of the discredited Human Rights Commission.
“This is solid evidence of the growing world community recognition of the human rights policy implemented in Argentina and commitment from the Argentine government to this cause”, said Argentine ambassador in UN Jorge Arguello.”
The US was booted out of the old Commission and now refuses to join the new Council because it did not approve of its creation.
